NSO provides integrated health and human services, and the grant will support its Medical Respite program, which offers health and recuperative care to homeless individuals.

Integrating Digital Engagement and Community Support

Mae's digital platform seamlessly integrates with community-based doula support, creating a comprehensive support system for pregnant individuals. Doulas provide nonmedical assistance before, during, and after childbirth, focusing on reducing health disparities, preterm births, and unnecessary C-sections.

Expanding Access to Doula Care

Through this partnership, Meridian's Medicaid members will gain access to Mae's network of over 50 Michigan-based doulas. These doulas offer virtual and in-person support in various areas, including lactation, labor education, advocacy, and postpartum oversight.
